The Hikata Bocho!

The design is a Hikata Bocho style. Forge welded 1084 and 15N20 in a GoMai pattern. GoMai is a Japanese technique in which you take 5 layers of steel and weld them together using a forge, anvil and hammer, to create differences in the finished blade. Notice the shiny part of the blade. This is the 15N20 which has nickel added to the alloy, thus giving it a different finish than the 1084 (The black part of the blade) giving you a beautiful contrast in the blade!

The Handle is a hidden tang, with Ziracote ( hardwood from South America ) and Fire Burst Acrylic inlay, held by a star mosaic pin and GoMai bolster!

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

This is an 8 Inch Santoku we made out of 80Crv2. It measures 8 inches at the cutting edge and is 13.25 overall. For its size it is incredibly light weight and balanced perfectly where the handle meets the blade.

Handle material is Red Fire acrylic with Toxic Green G10 Liners and Pins set with a Pentagram mosaic pin!
